"Afloat" is inspired by memories and journeys traveling around the lakes of the South Island.
Intentionally, "Afloat" initially appears as an abstract graphic color block composition, drawing you in with its bold shapes and vibrant hues. But as you approach the painting, it gradually transforms into a detailed and complex landscape, revealing meticulous attention to detail and depth.
"Afloat" is a celebration of the natural world and the transformative power of creativity. It invites us to lose ourselves in its depths, where the boundary between reality and imagination blurs, and the beauty of the ever changing New Zealand landscape comes alive in vivid detail.
