Inertia explores the quiet space between possibility and action. A solitary figure stands motionless within a still tidal pool, facing the open horizon where movement and opportunity remain visible, but the direction forward has yet to become clear. The work reflects those moments when we are held by circumstance—when uncertainty, external events, or the weight of choice temporarily suspend our ability to move forward.

The expansive landscape mirrors this emotional state. The calm water becomes both reflection and metaphor, suggesting that clarity often exists within us long before we are able to act upon it. The horizon remains open, offering possibility and hope, while the figure's stillness acknowledges that progress is not always immediate.
